The Togakushi-jinja Shrine is located at the foot of Mount Togakushi, northwest of Nagano.

Togakushi Mountain with forests and shrines from two thousand years of legends is one of the sacred peaks of Japan. A walk on the mountain will seem like a trip to another era. To this day, the local tall groves and mysterious atmosphere excite visitors no less than in ancient times.

800-year-old trees grow in the sanctuary forest.
