Rabat Fortress is one of the most beautiful and largest medieval fortresses on the territory of Georgia. The fortress is divided into two parts with a total area of more than 7 hectares: historical and new.

In the historical one you can visit an interesting museum, a Turkish mosque, a madrasah (Muslim school), a citadel, an Orthodox church and Turkish baths.

In the modern part there is the main tourist infrastructure: a luxury hotel, a restaurant, several coffee bars, a wine shop, souvenir shops, an information center and even a registry office.

The fortress has several stunning observation decks located in 4 observation towers and on the roof of the citadel, from which picturesque panoramas of Akhaltsikhe open.
