In the very center of Switzerland, a miracle of technology that has broken a world record works for tourists: an innovative funicular with the greatest steepness of slope in the world connects Schwyz with the ski resort of Stos.

Since its opening in December 2017, this funicular has been a real magnet for countless tourists from various countries. The funicular is truly unique: its cabins are perfectly adapted for a comfortable climb up an extremely steep slope, and passengers maintain an upright position at any time. 

To overcome the slope up to 110 percent (47 degrees) is a serious achievement! The small Alpine village of Stos in the mountains of Central Switzerland lies at an altitude of about 1300 meters above sea level.
