On the Mahi River, in Banswara district, Rajasthan, there is the Mahi Bajaj Sugar Dam, which was built between 1972 and 1983 to generate hydroelectric power and water supply. 

It is the longest dam in Rajasthan and is the largest water supply facility for the entire state. In addition, the dam is a popular tourist destination. 

The best time to visit the dam is the rainy season, when the gates are open.
