Mu Kang Chai Rice Terraces is located in the mountainous province of Ha Chau, and these rice terraces are often called the "Tunka Alps". Rice-growing terraces are built in such a way that they create the impression of a huge stepped amphitheater, surrounded by greenery.
Local farmers use traditional methods of rice cultivation, working manually on these terraces. Their ability to create terraces by carving them out of mountain slopes is an ancient art passed down from generation to generation.
