The arch-shaped skyscraper with a height of 302 meters is the entrance gate to the city of Suzhou (China). Offices, a hotel, residential and commercial premises are located on an area of 340 thousand m2. The skyscraper is located directly above a large underground railway interchange, which is fully integrated into the building.

The Gate of the East is inspired by historical and cultural references to the traditional famous gardens of Suzhou, dating from the 11th-19th centuries and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
