Objectively speaking, it would be a big mistake to call Venice a city of bridges and canals. And Amsterdam does not quite deserve this title. The abundance of tourists praising the beauty of these cities drowned out the voice of a modest truth — the real city of bridges and canals is Hamburg. 

Don't you believe it? Count for yourself! Hamburg has two and a half thousand bridges, which is more than the bridges in Venice (400), Amsterdam (1200), St. Petersburg (800) and London (30) combined.
