Lake Salda is a fresh, deep—water lake with inviting turquoise water and light, almost white sand, which the locals nicknamed the Turkish Maldives. 

Lake Salda is located at an altitude of 1140 meters above sea level. It was formed as a result of a volcanic eruption, in its very center — a crater. Lake Salda is volcanic and completely natural.

It is one of the five cleanest lakes in the world.
