The Indonesian slum became a tourist attraction in 2016 with the help of students from Universitas Muhammaidyah, who, together with a paint manufacturer, painted an entire area of the city of Kampung Tridi in bright colors.

The locals liked the idea, their life seemed to have become more fun, and colors literally increased. The residents themselves began to help and pick up rollers and brushes.
