Lacock Abbey is a place that claims to be the most beautiful and authentic village in England, and is favored by film directors. 

At one time, the TV series "Pride and Prejudice" based on the novel by Jane Austen was filmed here, and, more importantly, this place was used in several Harry Potter films.

The abbey was founded in 1232 by the Countess of Salisbury as a monastery of the Augustinian Order.
