A beautiful and very dangerous place is the Skeleton Coast. This is a 500 km long piece of land, sandwiched between the ocean and the desert. 

The Skeleton Coast got its gloomy name not by chance. This piece of desert, which occupies a huge part of the ocean coast, is really littered with human remains.

Ships passing by often crashed in these places, and people who found themselves on the shore were doomed, because the lifeless desert stretched ahead, and behind there was only the boundless ocean.
