Spain 🇪🇸
The attention of everyone passing along Gran Via Avenue in Barcelona is attracted by a majestic building on a hill, towering over a cascade of fountains and an avenue that begins between two 47-meter Venetian-style towers.
This is the building of the National Museum of Art of Catalonia. Palau Nacional was built by architect Josep Puig y Cadafalque in 1929 for the start of the World's Fair.
The Museu Nacional d'art de Catalunya building is striking in size. Slender neoclassical forms seem to be architectural perfection. A huge ceremonial hall, where up to 20 thousand people can fit during special events in the life of the city; two floors of spacious rooms and corridors with high ceilings.
