For a small fee, fans of the underworld have the opportunity to descend into a cave along the waterfall, which is twice as high as Niagara.

Participants are winched down one at a time into a giant cave known as Gaping Gill, the descent into which is described as a spectacular journey to the center of the earth.

The descent to the bottom of the cave takes about a minute. The size of the cave is such that York Minster could fit in it.
