The main attraction of the village of Skogar, known far beyond Iceland, is the Skogafoss waterfall. The powerful handsome man is visible from the ring road No. 1, which encircles the island. 

The water falls from a height of 60 meters — this is how the Skoga River runs to the Atlantic Ocean. The width of the Skogafoss is 25 meters, the jets fall down perfectly smoothly. They spray people for many meters around, and people are not offended. Indeed, in clear weather, Skogafoss gives all its guests a beautiful bright rainbow — and often two.
