Civita di Bagnoregio is a small town with a thousand-year history, which is part of the municipality of Bagnoregio in the province of Viterbo in the Lazio region.

The silhouettes of ancient houses and towers look like a mirage on a high rocky hill in the center of the barren valley of the Valle dei Calanchi. The fantastic landscape is complemented by a bridge floating in the air, which is the only road leading to the medieval castle town.
