Portugal 🇵🇹

Nazare is a seaside town on the western side of Portugal, known for its huge waves. In the period from October to February, waves up to 30 meters high rise on the northern beach of the city. 

The cause of the waves is the structure of the ocean floor relief. At dawn, it is located near the underwater canyon of the same name, which is considered one of the deepest canyons in Europe. 

As you approach the coast, the depth of the canyon decreases, forming a kind of springboard for waves and repeatedly increasing their height.
