Sandboarding (from the English sand - sand and board - board) is a sport that involves riding a snowboard on sand dunes, dunes or embankments in quarries instead of snowy mountains.

Since sandboarding is not a very common sport, no one installs lifts for riders, so they have to climb the dunes on foot.
