Two streets, just over 600 residents and 1.5 million tourists annually - these are the statistics of the tiny town of Rocamadour, incredibly located on an almost vertical cliff.

The town got its name in honor of the holy hermit Amadour, who was so in love with this rocky area that he lived here all his life. That is why the place received the name Rocamadour - “Amadour Rock”.
