Coron is the third largest island in the Calamian Islands group, located north of Palawan Island.

A distinctive feature of Coron Island: 11 clear lakes, three of which communicate through underground caves with the sea.

This is also a place of pilgrimage for divers - there are many Japanese warships sunk during the Second World War in the area.
