The pink pearl of the Jordanian desert and one of the new Seven Wonders of the World, Petra has become one of the most popular attractions in the Middle East in recent decades. 

The ancient capital of Idumea, and later Nabataea, is carved into red sandstone rocks and hidden by a deep gorge. Petra once flourished, but was later abandoned and lost in the sands. Thanks to this, the city has been well preserved to our time.
