Armenia 🇦🇲
Mount Ararat for Armenia and its inhabitants is a real symbol of the country and a sacred place. Ararat is depicted on the Armenian coat of arms despite the fact that it now belongs to Turkey.
Mount Ararat is located in the eastern part of Turkey, on the banks of the Araks River, 16 kilometers from Iran and 32 kilometers from Armenia, on the so-called Armenian Highlands. This is a dormant stratovolcano, the last eruption of which occurred relatively recently - in 1840.
