Shondong (Vietnamese hang Sơn Đoòng) is the largest cave in the world. It is located in Central Vietnam, in Quang Binh Province.

The height of the arches of the Shondong cave reaches 200 m, and the width - up to 150 m, the length of its tunnels is more than 5 km. That is why it received the status of the largest cave on the planet.

The year of discovery of the Son Doong Cave is considered to be 1991. That's when a local resident accidentally stumbled upon her while fleeing the rain.
