Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
Sigiriya (also known as “lion rock”) is a rocky plateau in the very center of the island of Sri Lanka. It rises 370 meters above sea level and about 170 meters above the surrounding plain.
Sigiriya was built in the 5th century AD. e. by order of King Kashyapa. He built an impregnable fortress and his palaces on the rock, around which there were ditches filled with water.
