Portugal 🇵🇹, Madeira Island

The Ponta do Papry lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse in Portugal. It is located at the westernmost tip of the island of Madeira

The lighthouse tower is just under 14 meters high. The height of its focal plane of the “light” itself projected into the sea extends 317 meters above sea level and is one of the highest in the world.

Since 2001, the existing lighthouse has become publicly accessible. It houses the Madeira Lighthouse Museum.
