The Rocha do Navio Nature Reserve is one of the few protected areas in Portugal.

The idea to create a multi-purpose reserve was born with the aim of protecting marine fauna, preserving nature and enhancing the vast tourism potential of the area.
This nature reserve is one of the most scenic spots on the north coast of the island and is located between Ponta de San Jorge and Ponta do Clerigo.
