Las Lajas Cathedral is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world 🌍✨
Directly above the gorge of the Guaytara River, at an altitude of 2600 meters above sea level, the building stands out for its unusually beautiful openwork vaults and arches. The neo-Gothic cathedral was built directly on the bridge 🩷

The main relic of the cathedral is an icon on a stone, an altar image.
Currently, two Franciscan communities take care of the temple: one is Colombian, the other is Ecuadorian. 

The height of the Las Lajas Church from the base to the top of the tower is 100 meters. The interior is decorated with mosaics and stained glass windows. Neo-Gothic facades are distinguished by many carved details, from a distance reminiscent of elegant lace.
