Aragonese Castle, Ischia, #Italy🇮🇹

The Aragonese castle was founded in 474 BC. and became an important strategic fortress on the island of Ischia. In 1441 it was significantly fortified by King Alfonso V of Aragon.

The castle rises on a 115-meter cliff and is connected to the island of Ischia by a bridge about 220 meters long.
