You'd think it was snow 😍
#Yemen, Socotra archipelago🇾🇪
The snow-white dunes of Stero are one of the most amazing places in Socotra.
At first, the dunes take the form of low mounds, quite easily moved by the wind, up to 10 meters per year. Then, where the winds blow stronger, they become classic dunes. They are the world's largest dunes, covering nearly 230 square miles.
Snow-white sand, from which the wind blows into high dunes, comes straight to the ocean. The dunes are so steep that you can ski down them.
