Perito Moreno Glacier, Argentina 🇦🇷

This stunning glacier is located in Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina. It is one of the most important tourist attractions in the country, and a must-see for nature lovers. The glacier covers an area of about 250 square kilometers and is approximately 30 kilometers long. What makes it truly unique is that it is one of the few glaciers in the world that is still growing. Every few years, the glacier advances enough to close off the channel between the two halves of Lago Argentino, creating a natural dam. Eventually, the water pressure causes the dam to break, resulting in a spectacular rupture event that attracts visitors from around the world. The glacier is named after Francisco Moreno, a 19th-century Argentine explorer who played a key role in defending Argentina's territory in the border disputes with Chile.
