The Prambanan temple complex is a collection of ancient Hindu temples located in Central Java, 18 km east of Yogyakarta, at the southern foot of Mount Merapi, near the Buddhist temple of Borobudur and the Ratu Boko palace. The temples were built in the 8th and 9th centuries AD and are dedicated to the Trimurti, the three main Hindu deities: Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. The largest temple is dedicated to Shiva and features intricate stone carvings depicting the Ramayana epic. Prambanan is the largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 🌼🏰🇮🇩
