📍 Komodo Island: A Lost World of Giant Lizards 🦖

🏞 Komodo National Park is located between the provinces of East and West Nusa Tenggara in Indonesia, 550 kilometers east of Bali.

🦕 The park was established in 1980 to protect the Komodo dragons, also known as giant Indonesian lizards. These ancient reptiles are descendants of predatory dinosaurs that went extinct 160 million years ago. 🦖

🦎 Today, they are the largest lizards on Earth. An adult Komodo dragon can grow up to 3 meters in length and weigh up to 70 kg! The Komodo National Park, home to these magnificent creatures, is considered one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Komodo dragons have a unique hunting technique. They use their powerful jaws and venomous bite to take down prey as large as water buffalo. Their venom causes rapid blood loss and shock, ensuring a quick and efficient kill.
