🏙 Santiago, the capital of Chile, is a city that sparkles with the glass facades of its modern downtown area. To the east lies the endless pampa of Argentina, to the west - the Pacific Ocean, and stretching from north to south are the endless chains of the majestic Andes, topped by the highest mountain on the continent, Aconcagua (6,959 m). 🗻

⛰ The city center is surrounded by green residential areas to the south and east, with houses climbing up the slopes of the mountains. In winter, the city is often enveloped in a blanket of smog. Approximately a quarter of the country's population lives in Santiago.
