🌴 Similan Islands, Thailand 🇹🇭

🏝️ The Similan Islands are an archipelago in the Andaman Sea off the coast of Thailand, known for their stunning beauty and diverse marine life. Located about 62 miles (100 km) from the popular tourist destination of Phuket, these islands are a paradise for snorkelers and scuba divers.

🏞️ The archipelago originally consisted of nine islands, each with its own name and number. The word "Similan" translates to "nine" in reference to the original nine islands. However, in 1998, two more islands were added to the national park, bringing the total number of Similan Islands to eleven.
