🏰 Bran Castle was founded in the early 13th century by the Teutonic Knights as a defensive structure to protect an important trade route between Transylvania and Wallachia.

📌 Over the centuries, it served as a royal residence and customs station. In the early 20th century, the fortress was gifted to Queen Marie of Romania, who transformed it into her residence.

🧛‍♂️ Tourists flock to Bran for vampire romance: legend has it that Vlad the Impaler, the prototype of Dracula, once stayed here, although no historical evidence has been found to support this.
