The Lut Desert is located in Iran. Its surface can heat up to 70-80 degrees Celsius, but the average air temperature is around +39 degrees. Despite the extreme heat, cars frequently travel across the desert. This is because it lies on the shortest route from southern Iran to Khorasan—a historic region famous for producing saffron and barberry.
