Russia strikes fresh civilian targets one day after attacking a shopping mall, killing eight civilians.

As workers combed through the rubble of a shopping mall destroyed in a Russian missile strike on Monday, Moscow kept up its bombardment of civilian targets across the country, Ukrainian officials said.

From the southern Ukrainian port city of Mykolaiv to the northeastern reaches near Kharkiv, the country’s second largest city, Ukrainian officials reported more Russian missile and bombing strikes overnight. At least eight civilians, including a 6-year-old girl, were killed and dozens more were wounded, including a 3-month-old baby who is in a coma.

Vitaly Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, said on Tuesday that Russia launched at least 11 missiles on targets in the region and, while several were shot down by Ukrainian air defense systems, several others got through.
