Turkey says a deal between Ukraine and Russia to unblock grain exports will be signed on Friday.
The Turkish presidency on Thursday announced that a “signature ceremony” will be held on Friday to unveil a deal that has been brokered between Ukraine and Russia aiming to allow millions of tons of Ukrainian grain to be exported, alleviating a global food shortage.
There was no official confirmation from Moscow or Kyiv that an accord had been reached and the deal between two warring countries could fall apart at the 11th hour. But officials in both capitals confirmed on Thursday the two sides were getting closer to an agreement. Read more
