Putin is ‘entirely too healthy,’ the C.I.A. director says.

Western intelligence officials this week dismissed longstanding rumors that Vladimir Putin, the 69-year-old Russian president, is unwell.

“There are lots of rumors about President Putin’s health and as far as we can tell he’s entirely too healthy,” William J. Burns, the C.I.A. director, said on Wednesday.

The Kremlin also denounced the rumors as “nothing but fakes.” Read more
