Videos show Ukrainian troops celebrating in recaptured towns.

As Ukraine reclaims territory in the Kharkiv region, military and government officials have shared videos purporting to show soldiers liberating towns and villages in the northeast.

In one video, soldiers shouted, “Glory to Ukraine!” as they tore down a billboard featuring the Russian flag the town of Balakliya. Another video appeared to show a soldier in Chkalovske, which President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday had been retaken by Ukrainian forces, raising Ukraine's blue and yellow flag on a tower above the village.

The footage, which is circulating widely in Ukraine, could not be independently verified. Read more
