Russian forces have started to leave a city next to the occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, according to a senior Ukrainian official and a report shared by Ukraine’s state nuclear energy company, amid conflicting accounts of the status of a key stronghold for Moscow in the south.
The Ukrainian claims could not be independently verified, and the situation at the Russian-controlled nuclear plant, for the moment, appeared to be unchanged. There was no confirmation of a withdrawal on the Telegram channels of pro-Russian military bloggers who closely follow the war. Read more
