One of the best-known remaining critics of President Vladimir Putin in Russia has left the country, shocking many in a nation that has grown accustomed to steadily diminishing dissent.
Ksenia Sobchak, a socialite who has challenged Mr. Putin at the polls while sometimes appearing to accommodate his agenda, entered Lithuania on an Israeli passport, Lithuania’s foreign minister, Gabrielius Landsbergis, told reporters on Thursday. Read more
