Clues Left Online Might Aid Leak Investigation, Officials Say

A surprisingly large number of people potentially had access to the Pentagon intelligence documents leaked on a social media site in early March, but clues left online may help investigators narrow down the pool of possible suspects relatively quickly, U.S. officials said on Monday.

Officials at the White House, the Justice Department and the Pentagon said little on Monday about the investigation into the leaked materials, which appear to detail national security secrets on Ukraine, Russia and a range of other countries. Read more
