Wheat prices remained elevated on Thursday, up 13% since Monday, when Russia pulled out of a wartime agreement that had been considered critical to stabilizing global food prices.
The Mariupol State University class of 2023 graduated at a pared-down ceremony at its campus in exile almost 400 miles from its ravaged home city in eastern Ukraine.
“It was very hard to focus, but our lessons were a distraction from the war, I can even say a kind of salvation,” one graduate said.
