Singapore giant oil trader Hin Leong and units fight for 'survival' as creditors come knocking

Weighed down by hefty debts to the tune of US$3 billion, Asia's largest oil trader and its sister company Ocean Tankers have applied for court protection to ensure their "survival".

In a letter seen by BT, Hin Leong's director said the firm was facing a "real threat" of legal or insolvency proceedings.
