Wages of workers in unpopular jobs could stay up for good, observers say
Skilled bricklayers are now earning as much as S$250 a day, as a foreign manpower crunch pushes up wages for rank-and-file roles. These high salaries may persist even after the Covid-19 pandemic, with both foreign and local workers set to command better pay, watchers believe.
