Asean inflation below global levels, but region still vulnerable to rising prices
With China’s producer price index hitting a 26-year high last month, the concern of inflation hitting Asean has come into question.
But economists don’t see it affecting us just yet, given Asia’s overall lagging recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic—that being said, consumer prices are still under threat, and will not be immune from the uptrend seen elsewhere.
