Cryptocurrency Omicron in frenzy over Covid-19 variant
Until the WHO decided to use the name for the latest variant of Covid-19, the Omicron cryptocurrency was obscure and relatively stable in recent weeks.
But on Monday, it jumped to nearly US$700, about 10 times its previous value, and later fell to US$152 before rebounding and stabilising at around US$350.
