Powering up communities in remote areas
After leaving their previous jobs, GenPlus managing director Lim Ming Chiat and his co-founder worked out of a McDonald’s outlet, wiring 2 lead acid batteries to an inverter to power their laptops.
The company they started now provides remote power to communications towers in plantations, up in the mountains and on remote islands like those in in Papua New Guinea and the Philippines.
