In the latest #mark2market, senior correspondent Ben Paul points out that MLT is raising equity by issuing new units at a much lower price than was used to calculate the pro forma DPU accretion from the recently announced acquisition of 17 new assets.
Did MLT's manager know its assumptions about the issue price of the new units were unrealistic when it announced the acquisition? And can this whole deal really be justified?
