Homegrown aquaculture company The Fish Farmer looks to reduce food waste, make industry more sustainable

Malcolm Ong founded The Fish Farmer in 2007, after he realised that the combination of global warming, overfishing and pollution would inevitably lead to a sharp drop in wild fish in the seas.

He focuses not just on farming fish sustainably, but also partners with companies that use the offcuts of fish in their dishes.
